Weekly Quote

“Rest when you’re tired. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit. Then get back to work. The world won’t fall apart when you take a break—in fact, you’ll find it waiting for you with open arms when you return.” – Ralph Marston

About Me

My name is Lauren Pallas, and I am a senior at Longwood University, graduating in December 2025. I am majoring in Communications with a focus on digital media. I have one cat named Skeeter who lives with me at school, along with a whole cluster of animals waiting for me back home! Over the next two months, I’m focusing on discovering a healthier version of myself, and I wanted to create a space to share the things I’m learning along the way.

For one of my classes, I’m writing a blog series that focuses on mental health for college students and young adults just beginning their post-grad journey. For all my post-grads- change and uncertainty can feel overwhelming, but you are not alone. For current students, it’s important to remember that taking a break each day won’t set you back; it can actually help you move forward.
